Toast to the holiday season with this Cranberry Mimosa that adds a festive twist to the classic brunch beverage:
Ingredients:
1 bottle of chilled Champagne or Prosecco
1 cup chilled cranberry juice
1/2 cup Grand Marnier or orange liqueur
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
Fresh cranberries and orange slices for garnish (optional)
Rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)
Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
Chill the Ingredients: Make sure all your ingredients are well chilled. You can place the Champagne or Prosecco in the refrigerator the night before, and keep the cranberry juice and orange liqueur in the fridge.
Prepare the Glasses: If you like, moisten the rims of the champagne flutes with a little water and dip them into sugar for a festive touch. This step is optional but adds a sweet touch to each sip.
Mix the Drinks: In each champagne flute, combine 1/4 cup of cranberry juice, 1 to 2 tablespoons of Grand Marnier (depending on your preference), and a splash of fresh orange juice.
Top with Champagne: Slowly pour the chilled Champagne or Prosecco into each flute, allowing the bubbles to mix the ingredients. Leave some space at the top for garnishes.
Garnish: Drop a few fresh cranberries into the glass for a burst of colour. Add a slice of orange for a citrusy accent. For a fragrant touch, include a small sprig of rosemary.
Serve Immediately: If you prefer your mimosa over ice, you can add a couple of ice cubes to each glass.
Enjoy: Sip, savour, and toast!
