Hautes Plaines & GreyHawk Win Ottawa-Montreal Interclub Championship
October 5, 2026 – GreyHawk Golf Club
The Ottawa-Montreal Interclub Championship was held on Monday, October 5, on a windy Predator Course at GreyHawk Golf Club. The chilly conditions didn’t deter the 84 competitors, who enjoyed a great day of golf, camaraderie and friendly competition as part of the Interclub and the Battle of the Regions.
Each player received a hockey jersey representing their region’s team, adding a fun twist to the day. The history books were rewritten as the Ottawa Charge defeated La Victoire to claim the Walter Cup, while the Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadiens to take the Stanley Cup. By the end of the event, we even saw a few jerseys changing hands, along with plenty of friendly heckling about which teams will make the playoffs this year!
The two-person scramble format was well received by all, and despite the cold weather, everyone is already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
The event also recognized the tremendous work of the Captains from each club throughout the golf season. Captains play an important role in the success of our clubs, helping create opportunities for Members to connect, compete and build lasting friendships. From all of us in ClubLink management, thank you to all of our Captains for everything you do!
Women’s Interclub
The Hautes Plaines team, captained by Suzanne Hayes, took the top spot with an impressive 31 points.
GreyHawk and Islesmere tied for second place with 28.5 points each.

Men’s Interclub
On the men’s side, the host team from GreyHawk, captained by Jim Crawford, was victorious with 30.5 points.
Eagle Creek finished second with 28.5 points, followed by Hautes Plaines in third with 27.5 points.

Battle of the Regions
The Ottawa Charge came out on top in the women’s Battle of the Regions, narrowly defeating La Victoire by two points.
On the men’s side, the Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadiens by 13 points.
A great day of golf, a little regional rivalry and plenty of bragging rights! Now, let’s see if these results translate to the hockey season!
