Celebrating a Quarter-Century of Tiger's Magic

Glen Abbey Golf Club recently rolled out the green carpet for Golf Channel's Johnson Wagner, who dropped by to honour a massive moment in golf history. We're talking about the 25th anniversary of Tiger Woods' mind-blowing 6-iron shot from the 2000 Canadian Open – a shot that's still legendary among Canadian golfers.

This wasn't Wagner's first rodeo with Tiger's iconic year. He's been practically living on the road with the Golf Channel crew, meticulously recreating pivotal shots from Woods' incredible 2000 season, live on air during Golf Central.

With the Golf Channel team and quite a few Glen Abbey members watching, Wagner took on Tiger's famous fairway bunker shot. It was awesome to see the sheer talent needed to pull off such a daunting shot under pressure. Wagner hit a great shot with a 3-iron, live on TV! Though it didn't go so well for the poor TP5 ball he hit with a 6-iron as a follow-up to exactly replicate the shot.

This trip down memory lane was a fantastic reminder of Tiger's lasting impact on the game, and let's be real, the most famous golf shot ever hit on Canadian soil… I mean sand.

And if you're feeling inspired, click here to book a round at Glen Abbey and try that shot yourself.
