Ah, springtime. Golfers have never been full of so much hope! Well, except for last year, the year before that, the year before that, and so on. But who knows? This might be the year we break 90, finally hit that par five in two, or play more than 20 rounds! Regardless of your goals, 2022’s golf season in Ontario is a blank slate, and so is every round of golf. That’s why we keep coming back.
Golf’s growth in popularity during the pandemic has been epic. So, this year, we expect demand to remain pretty high. That said, with the loosening of government restrictions and more people returning to the office, we think there might be a few more available tee times this year. So take advantage and bump up your total rounds goal!
There is another reason you might be able to get in a few more rounds this year. A combination of pandemic safety initiatives resulted in a benefit we didn’t expect. Larger spacing between tee times, single-rider golf carts, leaving the pin in the hole, and removing bunker rakes have resulted in faster rounds of golf. We know this may not be golf at its purest form, but we think swift pace-of-play has improved the overall experience, and we’re not ready to bid that adieu. For that reason, we’ve chosen to continue these practices this season.
While the current weather may have us down, there are many reasons to celebrate! We can’t wait to see your hopes from the off-season turn into reality on the course. Welcome back!
